University of Aberdeen Campus

The University of Aberdeen campus was first founded in the year 1495Today this university is one of the well-recognised universities in the entire UK. King’s College:

The University of Aberdeen campus, the King's College campus spreads over 35 hectares, including the ancient King's College buildings and the High Street. It is located two miles north of Aberdeen city centre and houses approximately two-thirds of the university's built estate as well as the majority of student facilities. The university does not own all of the "campus" buildings, which also include private homes, shops, and enterprises. First Aberdeen operates bus lines 1, 2, 13, 19, and 20 that connect it to the city center.

Foresterhill:

Foresterhill Campus of the University of Aberdeen campus is located roughly 1.75 miles east of the Old Aberdeen campus. This campus houses the university's Life Sciences and Medicine facilities. It is located beside Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital, and Aberdeen Maternity Hospital, all of which are teaching hospitals run by the regional health board NHS Grampian. This University of Aberdeen campus houses the School of Medicine, Medical Science, and Nutrition, the School of Psychology, and the School of Biological Sciences. It also comprises the Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health, the Institute of Medical Sciences, the Institute of Applied Health Sciences, the Institute of Dentistry, and the Institute of Medical and Dental Education.

Doha, Qatar:

A new campus in Doha, Qatar, opened in May 2017. It is a partnership between the University of Aberdeen and the Al Faleh Group for Educational and Academic Services (AFG). Accounting, finance, and business management are the current courses on offer. Brian Buckley is the campus principal.

Marischal College:

Marischal College campus is a neo-Gothic structure that was rebuilt in 1836–41. This University of Aberdeen campus significantly expanded several years later. Marischal College housed the Departments of Molecular & Cell Biology and Biomedical Sciences for several decades until 1996. Beginning in 1996, the departments relocated to the Kings College and Foresterhill campuses. Marischal College no longer hosts classes, as many of the departments that were originally housed there relocated to King's College decades ago.

Hilton Campus:

Following a merger in 2001 between the University of Aberdeen campus of the Northern College of Education, a tiny campus in Hilton became part of the university estate. Later on, the university's Faculty of Education temporarily relocated there. It is located less than a mile southwest of the King's College campus.  Following the restoration of King's College's MacRobert Building to house the School of Education, the Hilton Campus of this university was closed and sold to developers. The campus was dismantled, and the ground is now occupied by the "The Campus" residential development.

Requirements for Graduate:

  • State and Central Universities require a minimum of 60% for programs requiring a 2.2 degree, while those requiring a 2.1 require a minimum of 65% overall.  
  • For Private and Deemed Universities, a minimum of 65% for programs needing a 2.2 degree, while those requiring a 2.1 would require a minimum of 70% overall.

The University of Aberdeen is an excellent choice for Indian students. The professors are knowledgeable and supportive, and the courses are very engaging. The historic campus and friendly atmosphere made it a great place to study and live.

Studying at the University of Aberdeen was a fantastic experience. The faculty is approachable, and the academic programs are rigorous and hands-on. The diverse student community and numerous extracurricular opportunities made my time there both enriching and enjoyable.
